FratiniVergano – European Lawyers is an independent law firm that has been operating in Brussels since 2007. The core areas of expertise are EC internal market and competition law, international trade and food law. More details on the firm’s practice areas can be found in our web pages at www.fratinivergano.eu.

FratiniVergano believes that on-the-ground training in a law firm is essential for the development of good lawyers. With this commitment to education and training, FratiniVergano offers twice a year one paid internship to young lawyers interested in WTO law. The next six month traineeship will start on 1 September 2009 until 28 February 2010.

The International Trade Law department at FratiniVergano offers clients specialist advice on international trade and WTO law, with a particular focus on multilateral trade relations, regional trade agreements and bilateral trade relations between the EC and third countries. Our lawyers regularly advise Governments, multinational corporations and/or private clients on a variety of issues related to market access opportunities and regulatory barriers to trade in goods and services. Lawyers at the firm represented clients in litigation on trade law issues before the WTO and EU Courts in Luxembourg. The team is interested in applicants with strong academic background and relevant professional experience in international trade and WTO law to work in close cooperation with its lawyers. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in issues of EC and WTO law applied to agriculture, services, dispute settlement, regional trade agreements, market access and tariffs and non-tariffs barriers to trade, excellent analytical and research skills and fluent English. Knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
