| René Matteotti is professor of Swiss, European and International Tax Law at the University of Bern. Dr Matteotti is of counsel with Homburger AG, Zurich, and previously worked as lawyer for Homburger AG and Bär & Karrer in Zurich. He obtained a Master of Laws in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago IL, in 2004 and his PhD from the University of Bern in 2003. He chairs the Swiss Federal Department of Finance’s Commission on Tax Law Reform, is a permanent member of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration’s Advisory Board on Sales Taxes and a member of the Bar Association Examination Panel of the Canton of Berne.
