COURSE PROGRAMME

Curriculum

The MILE Programme consists of modules which are arranged to maximise the amount of knowledge you obtain over the course of the year.

The first term (September to December) is introductory: you'll be equipped with the foundational knowledge and tools in economics, law and political economy required for in-depth studies in terms two and three, and for writing your master's thesis. The modules of the second (January to March) and third (April to June) term cover specific topics relevant to international trade.

The year culminates in the MILE Moot Court – a simulation of a trade dispute between two countries – at the end of June, and from July until September you'll be asked to write a master's thesis.

The curriculum is interdisciplinary: you're required to take economics, law and political economy courses and many of the core topics are covered from the perspectives of the different academic disciplines.

The curriculum of the current MILE is available below. The structure of the programme varies slightly from one MILE to the next as we update and modify it to adjust for new developments.

Contact us if you have questions or see how you can sign up to MILE. Nearly all course modules of the MILE Curriculum can also be attended as a weekly student on a 'à la carte' basis.
