If important documents are missing from my application, will the WTI process my application?

No, we only process complete applications.

 

Is it possible to do the MILE part-time?

No, if you need a student visa to study in Switzerland. If you can obtain a Swiss residence permit, then yes. We advise you to dedicate yourself to one year of full-time study however. If you choose to pursue MILE part-time, you are required to complete all classes and your master's thesis within two years.

 

Is it possible to work part-time during MILE?

We strongly advise you not to work on the side if not absolutely necessary. A regular week of MILE will consist of up to 25 mandatory hours of classes and you'll usually be expected to write a 24-hour exam at the end of the week. In addition, you'll be asked to prepare and revise up to 200 pages of compulsory reading.

 

If I am admitted academically, can I defer my admission?

Yes, the Office of Admissions will keep your application on record for one year. When reapplying to MILE, please resubmit all documents which need to be updated. If you choose to reapply after the one-year period has elapsed, please send us a new and complete application.

 

If I defer my admission and I received a scholarship or tuition waiver from the WTI, can I defer it as well?

No, any form of financial aid awarded by the WTI cannot be transferred to future years. When you reapply to MILE, please submit a new Application for Financial Aid.
