Required Literature
Once you've been admitted and in order to prepare and follow the courses of the MILE Programme, we ask you to purchase the following literature prior to your arrival in Bern:
- World Trade Organisation (1999), The Legal Texts – The Results of the Uruguay Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations, Cambridge University Press. ISBN–13: 978-0521785808
- Mankiw, Gregory N. and Mark Taylor (2010), Economics – Special Edition with Global Economic Watch, Cengage Learning EMEA. ISBN–13: 978-1408021286
- Van den Bossche, Peter (2008), The Law and Policy of the World Trade Organization: Texts, Cases and Materials, 2nd edition, Cambridge University Press. ISBN–13: 978-0521727594
Alternatively, contact the librarian of the WTI, Mr Wulfhard Stahl, by no later than 15 August and request these books being ordered and made available to you upon arrival. The WTI will not mail the books to you in advance.
Clarification: Mankiw has published multiple editions of his introductory textbook under the titles 'Principles of Economics' and 'Economics'. The main differences between the editions regard the examples: some are more U.S. centric while others relate to Europe. The theoretical sections are equivalent however. If you have already purchased or only have access to 'Principles of Economics 3rd edition' or newer, that edition will be sufficient.
