Courses and Advisory Services
WTO Members and countries applying for WTO membership can be confronted with challenges that are specific to their status of development, socio-economic and institutional structure. Governmental and non-governmental institutions often need training activities which focus on their particular situations and that take into account the individual experiences of the course participants. The WTI has ample experience in designing such courses and its wide network allows it to put together teams which provide the expertise required for a particular course.
Drawing on the unparalleled expertise of its in-house research community and its international network of experts, the WTI provides its clients with technical assistance, training and advisory services tailored to their capacity-strengthening needs.
Tailor-made courses may range from combinations of existing training modules to highly individual, fine-tuned, consultative workshops and from practice-oriented courses on applied trade regulation to academic seminars on trade policy principles. Training takes place on WTI premises in Bern, in Geneva or in client countries and may last from one week to several months.
Several courses have been developed and implemented in seamless cooperation with WTI Advisors, the WTI’s affiliate, specialised in advisory services. The WTI and WTI Advisors have a proven track record of organising and delivering tailor-made courses on all topics in modern trade diplomacy.
We have a reputation for thoroughly and flexibly addressing our clients' needs in order to provide a course programme which creates expertise where it is most needed. Contact us for further information and we will gladly assist you.
