Youri Devuyst teaches politics, institutions and law of the European Union at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. At the VUB, he is affiliated with the LLM Program on International Legal Cooperation (Faculty of Law) and the Department of Political Science. Mr. Devuyst has worked in the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for competition policy and in several other European Commission services. He also served in the Cabinet of three successive Belgian Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Devuyst received his doctorate in political science, an LLM in international and comparative law and a postgraduate degree in international and European law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He also holds an MA in international relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. Mr. Devuyst's articles have been published in such journals as World Competition, the Journal of World Trade, the Journal of Common Market Studies, the Journal of European Public Policy, the European Foreign Affairs Review, the Journal of European Integration, Global Governance, the Berkeley Journal of International Law . His latest book is entitled The European Union Transformed: Community Method and Institutional Evolution from the Schuman Plan to the Constitution for Europe. | | |
