Subhashini Abeysinghe had been working at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for 8 years as an Economist, mainly focusing on international trade related issues. Her main area of work included creating an effective public-private dialogue on trade negotiations to ensure that the interests and concerns of the private sector are incorporated into the Government’s negotiating agenda. She graduated in Economics with first class honors from the University of Colombo and thereafter obtained a Masters degree in Economics from the same university. Her main expertise is in issues related to the regional integration of South Asia. Her interests include reading, travel and listening to music.
