Martin Baumgartner holds a lic. iur. (Master of Law) degree from the University of Zurich and has gained practical experience through various internships. On the invitation of Asia Community Service in Penang, Malaysia, he was given the task of raising awareness of human rights issues with staff and the local community; at the Consulate General of Switzerland in Chicago, he gained firsthand experience of the consular and diplomatic world in his duty as project manager for various public relations events. His most recent internship was with the Research & Innovation Services of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where he focused on research collaboration agreements and on new knowledge transfer guidelines for scientists. His interests include travel, scuba diving and paragliding.
