Bedirhangolu Nafiye - Sweden Print
Nafiye Bedirhanoglu is an Erasmus student and is doing the MILE as a part of her law degree at the University of Stockholm. During upper secondary school she was involved in the work of Ung 08, the city of Stockholm’s youth homepage. This involvement led to her participation as a Swedish youth representative in a seminar about media and youth in Alexandria, Egypt with journalists from all over the world.  In 2005 she began pursuing her law studies at the University of Stockholm. During her university studies she has worked with several projects at the University of Stockholm. One in particular, “Stockholm University for Everyone”, aims to inspire young teenagers and students who do not have an academic background and who come from disadvantaged socio-economic areas to study at the university.  Nafiye has worked as a secretary at a law firm in Sweden. In 2008 she held an internship in Tbilisi, Georgia at the Georgian NGO Women’s Information Center for the Swedish organization Kvinna till Kvinna (KtK).  In 2009 she worked as a Project Manager for the company Cowin Global in Qingdao/Bejing, China.  Serving as Vice Chair-woman for the Kurdish organization Komciwan is also counted among her list of achievements. Nafiye is fluent in Swedish, Kurdish, English and Turkish. Her main motivations are to study new languages, obtain knowledge and seek new challenges. Kickboxing is one of her favorite sports.
