Marcio de Souza has been Advisor for International Trade Negotiations at the Brazilian Ministry of Aquaculture and Fisheries since mid-2004. He has also worked in the International Division at the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture. Previously, he worked in the banking sector and was responsible for establishing international future markets operations in the Banco do Brasil (Brazilian state-owned commercial bank). In the 1980s, Mr. De Souza worked in Brazil's Foreign Trade Department in the area of market research for tariff and non-tariff barriers and regulations in the European Union. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics studies (financial risk analysis, futures markets and foreign trade) and Law. He labels himself an “eternal student” of different fields of knowledge. His interests include gastronomy, education, social relations, psychology and technology.
