In 2009 Nataliya Haletska obtained a Master’s degree in law with honours specializing in the economic law from the Lviv National University, Ukraine. During her studies Nataliya was head of the Law Students’ Union, one of the leading local youth NGOs in Ukraine. As a senior student Nataliya participated in the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO law. Her team became the National Champion in Ukraine and received the third place in the Regional Round of the Competition and proceeded to the Final Round in Geneva. Nataliya has worked as an intern in major international law firms, such as DLA Piper (Moscow office), Hogan & Hartson (Warsaw office) mainly dealing with commercial contracts and corporate law matters. She has also worked for a local law firm advising foreign investors on Ukrainian legislation. Nataliya is fluent in Ukrainian, English, Russian and Polish and has an intermediate knowledge of German. Nataliya’s main professional interest lies in the area of trade in services and dispute settlement within the WTO framework. The MILE programme will enable her to successfully deal with complicated issues of WTO law, apply it and contribute to the development of the trade law and economics in Ukraine. Aside from her professional interests Nataliya enjoys learning foreign languages, theatre and literature.
