Daniel Keelson for the last five years has been working with the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Ghana. He has worked with the export department for the last three years, where his duties included the implementation of the Trade Sector Support Programme (TSSP) of the Ghana Trade Policy, focusing on the Export Trade Support Services component of the Policy.

He has a diverse background of studies which include the following, a Diploma in Development and Management of Small Businesses and Industries - Galillee College – Israel, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy – University of Ghana - Ghana and Postgraduate Diploma in Education – University of Cape Coast – Ghana.

“Experts Meeting on Trade and Development Implications of Financial Services and Commodity Exchanges”, “Expert Meeting on Enabling Small Commodity Producers and Processors in Developing Countries to Reach Global Markets” and 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV) are some of the meetings and fairs he has attended. The highest point of such meetings was when he sat next to the Duke of Kent of the United Kingdom and had personal interaction with him during the 2007 Commonwealth Study Conference in India at dinner.

Locally he has worked on a number of important committees such as the National Planning Committee on Trade Fairs and Exhibitions, the 2008 AGOA Planning Committee and the UNCTAD XII Planning Committee.

He would like to use his leisure time to play table tennis, listen to music and read.
