Terence Mabaso holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hartford in Connecticut, USA and has been indirectly involved in the field of international trade since 2005. He worked as a World Bank Business Surveyor in his home country of Swaziland and in 2005 was one of the directors of Trading House Swaziland, which dealt with imports and exports in the South African Development Community (SADC). Terence was part of international and domestic trade operations and did some of the administrative tasks for Trading House. As part of Trading House, he was able to be a participant in trade policy and negotiations issues, especially with relation to the WTO and SADC. He also worked as part of the African Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP) Group of States Secretariat to the WTO in Geneva, where he was responsible for covering WTO, UNCTAD and ITC issues.
