Challenges and opportunities for Central America’s process of economic integration
Former MILE student Javier A. Gutierrez will discuss the challenges and opportunities for Central America’s process of economic integration. The talk will focus on the recent efforts towards the creation of a Central American customs union and the decision by the republics of Guatemala and Honduras to expedite the creation of a customs union between their territories. He will share the experience of SIECA providing technical assistance to Central American countries in the negotiation and implementation stages of the process.
