Ampong Abena

Ms Abena Ampong Ntiamoah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Social Work (major) and Political Science (minor) from the University of Ghana. After graduation she interned as an Assistant Field Survey Officer at the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Ghana. Her responsibilities contributed to protection of domestic trade by processing trade data, including the tracking of import and export trade via monthly survey in respect of prices of manufactured goods (import and export), to ensure that activities of market players did not cause any injury to the domestic industry.

The experience acquired at the Ministry of Trade and Industry during the period of internship has built  Abena's capacity and rekindled her interest to pursue a career in International Law and Economics to deepen her understanding of the Multilateral Trading System and the rules thereof.
