Georges Bauer graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2006, earning degrees in Political Science (International Relations track) and Economics. At the time of his graduation, Georges had already secured a full time position as a member of staff to U.S. Senator Bill Nelson’s constituent services office in Orlando, Florida. During this time, Georges gained valuable insight into the pressure public officials experience from the public on a wide range of issues.

After a year and a half with Senator Nelson, Georges relocated to the United Kingdom in search of international experience and promptly found employment at HR Trustees Limited, a pension trustee firm. This position offered first hand experience in finance, accounting and project management. However, his interest and desire to work in the international field led him to apply for the MILE program and he hopes to take away from this experience a better understanding of international trade regulation as it applies to developmental issues and human rights.

Interests include cycling, football, Formula 1, music and travel.
