Ayush Ghimire, a Nepalese citizen, obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from ILS Law College, India in 2007. After completing his studies, he worked in Nepal for a year specializing in project finance and also obtained his Bar license. Subsequently, he worked in DSK Legal, a corporate law firm in Delhi, India. His work involved interpreting commercial laws, drafting and negotiating. Over the past 2 years he has been with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) as a Legal Analyst - International Policy and Trade. His work entails interaction with academics, industrialists, bureaucrats and politicians from both India and overseas. He has advised the Government of India on ongoing multilateral and regional trade negotiations including the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, export expansion, reduction of transaction costs and policies, and laws of partner countries and their impact on Indian trade.  Additionally, he has organized WTO/FTA related sectoral/stakeholders’ meetings to discuss the industry’s views on trade related issues and has advised the Government of India on the same. He dreams of using his education and professional expertise to be a vital contributor to Nepal’s economic metamorphosis.
