Aishwarya is an Indian citizen who grew up in the Middle East and completed her schooling in Dubai. She subsequently pursued the integrated bachelors’ degree in Arts and Law from ILS Law College, Pune and graduated with first class.

During the course of her undergraduate studies, Aishwarya interned with various renowned international law firms such as Clyde & Co and Holman Fenwick William, which fostered in her an interest in International Economic Laws. She was also part of the winning team of The Competition Commission of India’s National Moot Court Competition in 2018 and has presented two papers at national conferences on the subject of arbitration. Prior to commencing her master’s program, she was an Associate with the General Corporate Team of a law firm where she primarily worked on corporate structuring, legal due diligence and foreign exchange regulations. She has enrolled for the TRAIL+ programme to gain a holistic and interdisciplinary understanding of trade policies and hopes to pursue her career in academia and in international organizations centering on global trade regulations and sustainable development.

Aishwarya is also passionate about volunteering and championing for social causes. Her hobbies include travelling, reading biographies and books on philosophy and world economy, watching political and historical documentaries and she follows Cricket and Formula 1. She is fluent in English, Tamil and Hindi, has elementary knowledge of Sanskrit and Arabic and hopes to learn French and German during her time in Switzerland.
