Dr Eddy Bekkers

Eddy Bekkers is counsellor at the Economic Research and Statistics Division of the World Trade Organization (WTO). He holds a PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Master's in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the economic modelling of trade policies, trade-related policies and their interaction with trends such as climate change, digitalization and the rise of artificial intelligence. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Economic Journal, European Economic Review, World Development, Canadian Journal of Economics, Review of International Economics, Journal of Global Economic Analysis, Energy Economics, Economics Letters and World Economy.
