Presentation of UNCTAD’S World Investment Report 2012 at the WTI

As part of the WTI’s Summer Academy 2012 course on “Settling Investment Disputes”, Elizabeth Tuerk presented UNCTAD’s “World Investment Report 2012”.

Elizabeth Tuerk is a Legal Expert in UNCTAD's Section on International Investment Agreements (IIA) in the Division on Investment and Enterprise. She is  also an alumnus of the WTI’s Master of International Law and Economics (MILE) programme. Her presentation to sixty students from more than twenty countries with various professional backgrounds included UNCTAD’s Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development (IPFSD). The lecture was embedded in a week-long course on investment disputes, including patterns of investor-state litigation and alternative means of resolving conflict in investment relations, which was taught by Roberto Echandi, senior researcher in the NCCR Trade Regulation’s Cluster on “New Challenges in Investment Law and Policy”.
