Senior researcher delivers training in Sri Lanka

WTI Senior Research Fellow Anirudh Shingal conducted a regional training workshop in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 16-21 November in the framework of a UK Trade Advocacy Fund (TAF) project aimed at enhancing capacities for trade in services, policy-making and negotiations.

The implementation of this project is a joint initiative of the International Lawyers and Economists Against Poverty (ILEAP), CUTS International Geneva and the Centre for the Analysis of Regional Integration at Sussex (CARIS).
The workshop focused in particular on the services trade data availability challenges in developing and least developed countries (LDCs), suggesting a toolkit for easy use of available services data and providing an overview of good practices in services trade data collection and reporting in LDCs.
