WTI and Ecuadorean university USFQ sign cooperation agreement

The World Trade Institute (WTI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), Ecuador.

Under the terms of the five-year agreement the two institutions will collaborate in research and training activities.

The MoU envisages cooperation in strengthening master programmes offered by the WTI and USFQ as well as degree and summer programmes.

It is also intended to foster student and staff exchanges and result in joint applied research projects.

The agreement was signed in December 2017 by Managing Director Joseph Francois and Director of Studies Peter Van den Bossche on behalf of the WTI, and Rector Carlos Muntufar Freile and Dean of the Law School Farith Simon on behalf of USFQ.

Professor Van den Bossche commented that the WTI looked forward to “a mutually beneficial cooperation in the coming years”.
