International Geneva Award

Launch of the 2011 Edition of the International Geneva Award by the Swiss Network for International Studies

The Swiss Network for International Studies is pleased to inform you about the launch of the 2011 edition of the International Geneva Award.
 
The International Geneva Award has been established to encourage outstanding researchers in international studies to produce publications that are particularly relevant for International Organizations. The Award is a prestigious academic distinction specifically created to promote links between Swiss academics and International Geneva.
 
The Award will be given to the three best papers published on a subject related to International Studies and particularly relevant from the perspective of the Academic Council of International Geneva.
 
The SNIS provides CHF 15'000 annually for the International Geneva Award. The three awarded publications will receive up to CHF 5’000 each.
Applications will be reviewed by the Academic Council of International Geneva, composed of representatives of International Organizations headquartered in Geneva with expertise in one or several areas relevant to International Studies.

Prizes will be presented annually in the framework of a SNIS event and the awardees will be invited to present their research and awarded paper.
 
Entrants must be professors or researchers at a post-doctoral level working in a Swiss university and employed on a multiple-year contract at the time of submission.
