MILE alumnus and WTI research fellow becomes AIPPI Executive Director

Dr. Arno Hold accepted the appointment of Executive Director of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). His appointment began 27 August 2018.

Arno Hold is a MILE 6 alumnus and a WTI research fellow during the NCCR. He successfully organised the summer school teaching courses in Hong-Kong in 2014, which was jointly organised by the World Trade Institute and the Law Faculty of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

“The Bureau of AIPPI is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Arno Hold as Executive Director. He will take up the position at AIPPI's General Secretariat in Zurich on August 27, 2018 and will, of course, be in attendance at the AIPPI World Congress in September in Cancun.

In accepting the appointment, Arno Hold said “I consider it a great privilege to serve one of the world’s leading international non-governmental organizations dedicated to the development and improvement of legal regimes for IP protection. I am impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the management team and the association, in particular as the leadership mainly consists of highly engaged volunteers, and look forward to being a part of AIPPI."”
