International Bachelor Summer School for Climate Change Research: Confronting Climate Change – from Science to Policy

The third International Bachelor Summer School for Climate Change Research, co-organised by the WTI and the Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research (OCCR), is scheduled to take place from 2 to 13 August 2021, in Bern, Switzerland.

The aim of the third International Bachelor Summer School for Climate Change Research is to bring together highly motivated, open-minded bachelor students (semesters 4 to 6) who are interested in Climate Change Research and are enrolled in any of the following fields of study:

  • Natural/climate sciences
  • Economics
  • Social sciences
  • Law

The International Bachelor Summer School will focus primarily on the following areas:

  • The Physical Climate System
  • Climate Economics
  • Governance
  • Knowledge Transfer

It will include traditional keynote lectures, teamwork in workshops and self-study. Please note that there are scholarships available for students from North America (USA and Canada).

Please also note that you will benefit from an early bird tuition fee reduction, in case you complete your application before 18 April 2021. The final date for handing in your complete application is 16 May 2021.
