After one and a half years he was awarded with a Diploma entitled “Banking and Financial Education for High School Alumni including the ECFB (European Certificate in Banking)” from the Swiss Banking Association.
The outcome was that Jonas decided to study Business Law at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and he made good use of his Spanish language skills during one semester as an ERASMUS student at the University of Salamanca, Spain. He studied a number of courses related to international trade law and economics at ZHAW and at the University of Salamanca. Alongside his fulltime studies, he continued to work part time at the UBS, ending up in Equity Sales Trading within the Investment Bank and completing a three month internship there. His bachelor thesis focused on the brand new Swiss Book Entry Securities Act which has been in force since January 2010.
During his various stays abroad Jonas became familiar with different cultures and languages, learning German, Spanish, English and French.
