Benjamin Utter completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Massachusetts in May 2007. After graduation he joined Abacus Financial Advisors in Boston Massachusetts as a financial analyst. His work focused largely on helping to establish the firm's flagship alternative energy Shenandoah Fund. After two years at Abacus, a long time interest in law and international relations led him to the United Nations mandated University for Peace where he earned a Masters in International Law and Human Rights in June 2010. His thesis explored the relationship between business and human rights and the role of financial social disclosure. After the MILE programme Benjamin intends to work building his economic, legal, and financial skills further. His other interests include skiing, hiking, reading, and traveling.
