Demitta Gyang MILE 13
Demitta holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Business Management with first class honours from University of Jos, Nigeria. She also completed a Higher National Diploma on Food Science and Technology. Demitta serves in the Secretariat of several committees including the National Food Safety Management Committee, Task Force on Trade Facilitation, Technical Committee on Review of Nigeria’s Trade Policy, and Technical Committee of the Enlarged National Focal Point on Trade Matters. Prior to joining the Government Service, Demitta was a small scale food processor working on soya bean products (milk, and cheese). She was also engaged in outreach workshops where she taught local women on how to make soya bean derived products to enrich their diet. Her current engagement in the government is a result of the recognition of academic excellence in the field of Business Management which led to a presidential award of automatic employment into the Federal Service of Nigeria. With the STDF, Demitta contributed to a desk top research on the role of SPS institutions in trade facilitation. Her admission into the MILE programme will enable her to acquire skills that will enhance her career in the field of international trade. In her spare time she loves to read and garden.
