Sara Keller, a South African, obtained her LLB from North West University in 2006. During her studies, she was a student assistant to the Dean of Law for two years. In her final year, she had the privilege of being an observer at the All African Trade Moot Court in 2006, held at the University of Pretoria. She then obtained her LLM in 2007 from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). Her focus was on International Trade Law and European Union Law with her research thesis being on the EU-SADC Economic Partnership Agreement.  During her LLM studies, she had the opportunity to assist as a supervisor in the All African Trade Moot Court in 2007 held at UWC. She was also employed as a Graduate Lecturing Assistant for first year LLB students. In December 2007, she joined Legal Aid South Africa as a Candidate Attorney where she handled various criminal matters. Thereafter, she joined Kgomo Mokhetle and Tlou Attorneys in 2008 where she handled general civil litigation matters as well as family law matters.  She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa on June 3rd, 2010, and continued practising with KMT Attorneys. In January 2011, she took up a position with Werksmans Attorneys, Sandton as an Associate in the Pro Bono Litigation Department. She handled a variety of matters ranging from consumer protection to property disputes as well as general civil litigation and family law.  Sara is passionate about international trade and aspires to become a trade negotiator.
