Alvita Chen MILE 14
Alvita graduated (with honours) from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia, majoring in International Trade Relations. Upon her graduation in January 2013, she began her professional career as Project Assistant in her university, strengthening her interest in the dynamic field of international trade and development. In this early stage of her work, she was able to manage various external relations with international partners and have the chance to work under the close supervision of the Executive Director of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
Alvita has a strong interest in issues about trade and development. Furthermore, she would like to enhance her knowledge about the role of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, global services supply chains, and regional economic integration. She also developed a specific interest on import licensing for her upcoming thesis. Currently, Alvita received the SECO scholarship to carry out the Master of International Law and Economics programme at the World Trade Institute, Bern, Switzerland. She is eager to contribute her knowledge by working in trade – related field, both in international organization or private entities. Alvita is a driven personality and always finds it exciting to engage with a multi-cultural environment. Besides Bahasa Indonesia, she is fluent in English and speaks Chinese Mandarin. In her free time she enjoys live music and outdoor activities.
