Michael Hayes MILE 15
Michael Hayes is an exchange student from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law, where he is currently completing his final year of a J.D.
Prior to entering law school, Michael studied economics at the University of Western Ontario. It was during these undergraduate studies that he developed an interest in international trade.
During law school, Michael has provided legal advice to persons who would otherwise be unable to afford legal assistance through the Law Students Legal Advice Program.
Michael wanted to both deepen his knowledge of international trade and to broaden his understanding of Swiss, European, and global cultures. The MILE programme at the World Trade Institute and its global student body provided him a unique opportunity to achieve both goals.
Outside of school, Michael enjoys skiing and sailing, which he also coaches during the summer at the Disabled Sailing Association in Vancouver.
