Gayatri Sashidharan is a lawyer from India. She received her Bachelor’s degree in law from I.L.S Law College, Pune, India. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and a Master’s degree in gender, culture and developmental studies, both from the University of Pune.
She has worked in the capacity of a legal consultant on matters that deal with constitutional law and criminal law. Furthermore, Gayatri has experience in working in the area of human rights. She takes a keen interest in development-related issues not only from the legal perspective, but also from other branches of the social sciences such as economics, sociology and political science.
It is the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach of MILE that appeals to her the most. Gayatri hopes that the MILE programme will equip her with skills that are instrumental for working in areas that deal with trade and social policy.
