Harjodh Singh obtained his Bachelor’s degree in law from India with an interest in intellectual property rights. After working in a Mumbai based law firm, Harjodh opted to pursue a full time Master’s in Intellectual Property Rights Law from National Law University, Jodhpur, India. It was during his Master’s that Harjodh developed a nascent interest in international trade. After graduation, Harjodh worked in an NGO dealing with issues of software patents and policies related to net neutrality and freedom of expression on the internet. Thereafter, Harjodh worked in a law firm in Mumbai where he was responsible for the entire firm’s intellectual property rights matters, and also assisted the firm’s lawyers in corporate law matters and various litigations.  
 
In order to further develop his interest in trade law, Harjodh opted to pursue the MILE programme. His interests lie specifically in the area of trade related aspects of intellectual property rights as well as appellate body jurisprudence. Harjodh looks forward to graduating from the MILE programme with an increased understanding of his interests as well as an understanding of international trade policy regimes.
