MILE 18
WTI

Amalie Øgård Sirevaag holds a BA first Class honours degree in Business Management from the University of Winchester, UK and an MSc in International Trade, Strategy and Operations from the University of Warwick, UK. Her BA degree was chosen to give business insight and the MSc was selected to give trade insight from the commercial businesses point of view. In between study periods she has worked in service product development in the US and in trade in Norway. These experiences awakened the desire to explore and understand international trade mechanisms.

Her Master’s thesis had the title “How well suited and how realistic is it for the UK to adopt to the EFTA/EEA model after leaving the EU”. Working on and researching this topic her interest and fascination with international trade, globalisation challenges and possibilities deepened.

Currently, Amalie is enrolled on the Master of International Law and Economics (MILE) at the World Trade Institute (WTI) of the University of Bern on a WTI Director Scholarship. She aspires to work in an international trade organisation or in international trade in a commercial setting upon graduating from the MILE.
