Rebecca Rutschi is a Student Fellow in the Administration team at the World Trade Institute. With a background in international relations and a keen interest in how global systems work together, she enjoys being part of a team that connects people, research, and ideas across disciplines.

Originally from Switzerland, Rebecca completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at the University of Geneva, where she developed a strong interest in global governance, diplomacy, and cultural diversity. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Management at the University of Bern, focusing on business administration. Rebecca is particularly drawn to interdisciplinary work that brings together perspectives from economics, politics, and management to better understand today’s complex global challenges. She is furthermore highly intrigued by the intricacies of project management and organizational development in the public foreign affairs sector that shape a country’s cooperations with other governments and dictate their level of involvement within international organizations.

Outside of work and studies, Rebecca enjoys exploring different cultures, languages, and perspectives by travelling and connecting with people all over the globe. This is something that continues to inspire her long-term goal of joining the Swiss diplomatic corps and one day serving as an ambassador.
