Thamara Romero is an international trade lawyer with extensive experience in e-commerce law, intellectual property, public health and development policy. She has served as Legal Officer at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Senior Program Officer at the South Centre, and consultant for international organizations including the International Trade Centre, and the World Health Organization. She is the Founder and President of the NGO OFELIA, dedicated to education, and innovation in Latin America. She holds an LL.M. from the University of Heidelberg, Germany and a law degree from the University of Los Andes, Venezuela. Thamara is currently a PhD candidate in Law at the World Trade Institute, University of Bern.
