Gorka Garcia Malene
Gorka is pursuing an LL.M. in International Trade and Investment Law and a Diploma in Advanced Studies in International Law and Economics. He previously completed an executive program in Artificial Intelligence for Business Strategy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University, a law degree at Rutgers Law School, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Lehigh University.
Before joining WTI’s TRAIL+ program, Gorka directed programs on high-impact health information governance, litigation strategy, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement at the U.S. National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
In the private sector, Gorka was an attorney at Willkie Farr and Gallagher, LLP, and managed large multidisciplinary legal teams in the context of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for clientele in the pharmaceutical and energy sectors. Gorka is a registered attorney in the District of Columbia and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a registered solicitor in England and Wales.
