What sanctions mechanisms apply to corporate actors? Should the application of sanctions to corporate actors be based on the Rule of Law (RoL) requirements or do we need to develop a new concept of ‘RoL for global emergency’? Should the application of sanctions be based on an assessment of the business entities’ involvement in human rights violations or the negative impact of their activities on human rights? These and many other questions will be discussed by an international panel of experts.

  • Prof. Michael Strauss, Professor of international relations and public international law at the Centre d'Etudes Diplomatiques et Stratégiques in Paris.
