In July 2019, Prof. Peter Van den Bossche taught courses at the USFQ, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru and the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru. He also visited Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a long-term partner of the WTI.

During the week of 15 July, and for the second time this year, WTI Director of Studies Prof. Peter Van den Bossche taught a course in the context of the Master of International Litigation and Arbitration at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador (USFQ). The course focused on the crisis of WTO dispute settlement and included a simulation exercise.

While in Quito, he met with former WTI students as well as with Hugo W. Cahueñas Muñoz, professor of International Law at the USFQ and WTI PhD candidate.

On 22 and 23 July 2019, Prof Van den Bossche taught a course on Current Issues in WTO Law and Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, focusing on the current crisis of the WTO and the multilateral trading system. This course was attended by Ms. Sayuri Bayona, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade of Peru. He gave a lecture on the same topic to the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru and met with staff and students at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), a long-term partner of the WTI.
