Recent November Activities by Prof. Peter Van den Bossche

In the second half of November, the WTI's Director of Studies engaged in a number of activities, some of which you can read about below.

On Wednesday, 17 November 2021, Peter Van den Bossche gave an online guest lecture on "The World Trade Organization: its Past, Present and Future", in the context of the master’s course on International Organizations Law at the Kuwait International Law School (KILAW), Kuwait.

On Friday, 19 November 2021, Prof. Van den Bossche gave a two-hour online lecture on "The European Union, the WTO and WTO Law" to participants in the training programme of the European External Action Service (EEAS), organized by the European Institute for Public Administration (EIPA).

Also on 19 November, he participated in a webinar on "The Appellate Body Crisis and Dispute Resolution: What is the Future of the WTO’s Crown Jewel?", organised by the Business and Government Professional Interest Council, Harvard Kennedy School.

Other participants included Joost Pauwelyn, Graduate Institute of international and Development Studies, Geneva, and Georgetown University Law School, Washington D.C., Simon Lester, WorldTradeLaw.net., Srikar Mysore Sridhar, Harvard Kennedy School, who also introduced the webinar, and Cherise Valles, Advisory Center on WTO Law, who moderated the discussion.
