Conference on Migration and Development: Swiss Initiatives and International Debate

This first national conference of mdplatform.ch will illuminate the relationship between migration and development. It will present the current state of the discussion and initiate discussion on the future priorities for Swiss actors. The conference also aims to promote the exchange of civil society experience in the area of migration and development, as well as to strengthen the role of migrants as actors in development.

Professor Thomas Cottier of the WTI will give a keynote speech on the topic of 'Migration as a common concern for mankind - Exploring a global phenomenon (challenges and opportunities)'.
