WTI hosts migration and human rights workshop

Professor François Crépeau, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants, was the key speaker at a meeting of the Swiss Civil Society platform at the WTI on 2 June.

Organised by research fellow Rosa Losada, the objective was to have an in-depth discussion on the issues of migration, human rights and diversity based on the input of the speakers.

Rosa Losada presented a new research project at the WTI, 'Migration as a Common Concern of Humankind'. Her work analyses the interdependencies between migration, human rights and other areas using the common concern theoretical framework.

Fellow researcher Zaker Ahmad delivered a presentation on the project. See links.

Rosa Losada is a member of the Core Group of the Swiss Civil Society Platform, a space for information sharing among civil society and non-state actors interested in migration and development and in participating in international dialogue.
