Closing Ceremony of the 2023/24 Advanced Master Programmes with Ambassador Ivo Germann
The Closing Ceremony of the 2023-2024 Master Programmes (MILE and TRAIL+) will take place on 19 July 2024 at the Auditorium Silva Casa, World Trade Institute
On behalf of the Executive Directors of the World Trade Institute, we are pleased to invite you to the World Trade Institute's Closing Ceremony of the MILE and TRAIL+ Master’s Programmes, academic year 2023-2024. The ceremony will take place in the Silva Casa Auditorium at the World Trade Institute on 19 July 2024 at 15:00.
As keynote speaker, we are honoured to welcome Amb Ivo Germann, Head of the Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate, Switzerland's State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
About the Keynote Speaker
Ambassador Ivo Germann (*1972), lic. oec. publ., has been head of the Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate since 1 February 2023. Previously, he headed the Macroeconomic Support Section in the Economic Cooperation and Development Division. From 2019 to 2022, he was head of Economic, Trade and Financial Affairs at the Swiss Embassy in Washington, D.C. Ivo Germann joined SECO's Macroeconomic Support Section in August 2000 and was promoted to Deputy Head of Section in 2004. From 2007 to 2010, he was seconded to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London serving as principal economist. On returning to SECO in 2010, he took over as head of Private Sector Development and was promoted to head of Operations South/East in January 2013.
The Closing Ceremony will be followed by an Apéro riche for students and WTI staff.
